A WALK THROUGH PSALMS | Devotional Psalter | The Law of the Lord Is Perfect | Psalm 19 | David exults in the preciousness of this Word. Is this how you feel about the revelation God has given of himself in his Word? How do you approach Scripture? Do you see it as fuel to revive your soul (v. 7) - "rejoicing the heart" (v. 8)? The word of God not only reveals who God is; it also reveals who we are, in all our sin and need. GETTING TO KNOW OUR STAFF | We want to share our wonderful staff with you, so you can see the faces of the people who make our church a welcoming place to come and learn about making All Of Life, All For Jesus. Help us thank Patrick Buck for all he does for our church! What is your title? | Pastoral Resident with Redemption Youth. I get to do a hodgepodge of different things but primarily worship, teaching occasionally, leading a group and running our Social and Web platform. I also get to lead the 5th/6th grade rocket-fire-explosion-show on Sunday mornings known as Ignite (we’re pretty obnoxious). Check us out. Tell us about your family. | My best friend Lynne and I just finished our first lap around the sun as Husband and Wife and we live right over in downtown Gilbert. Most often you will find us watching the Office or Gilmore Girls with our two fur babies: Mori the Labradoodle (named after Moriarty from the BBC TV series Sherlock) and Zoey the 6lb YorkiPoo who likes to antagonize Pitbulls and German Shepherds. How long have you been at Redemption Church, and what made you call this home? | Lynne had been going to Summer Camp with Gilbert for a few years and then eventually moved here with her family towards the end of Jr. High. I started coming with some friends to Sunday 46 back in high school, but Lynne and I didn’t actually meet until college on a hike with some friends (that seems to be the go-to Christian first-date). I just remember walking in to my first Sunday 46 service and immediately feeling the weight of God's presence manifesting in the culture of the people I was worshiping and learning alongside. Their addiction to Him was addicting to me and almost immediately God convinced me I needed to be a part of the Gilbert family. What's your favorite restaurant, and why? | We love great food (shocker, I know) but I’m gonna throw you a lovely curveball and tell you my favorite coffee shops you need to pop by which are... Peixoto, Berdenas, Futuro, Fourtillfour, Belhaus, and the Commons (get the Cortado). What's your favorite sports team to root for and why? | Fork ‘Em, Devils. (Also, I watch a lot of pro cycling but that’s not really a conversation-starter) If you could be an animal, what would you be and why? | Otter. The only people who need a further explanation are non-otter-fans. Where is the most interesting place you’ve been, and why did it leave an impression? | Portland. It’s weird, we like it. What fictional place would you most like to visit? | The Shire. Mordor is overrated.

They have been investing and serving our church through R/YOUTH Summer Camp, R/KIDS VBS, and now more than half of their community is sharing God's love with the children in Alaska right now! VOLUNTEER HIGHLIGHTS | We are blessed with so many faithful volunteers who lovingly serve our church! | We would like to introduce to you Susan Hicks! "Many years ago, Susan answered the call of Founding Pastor, Tom Shrader, to “Come, Learn, Serve!” She has been faithfully serving year round in Redemption Kids for 13 years, most recently in 1st grade. These youngest elementary children have been blessed by her kindness, generosity, and her commitment to helping them know Jesus. She claims that as she teaches a new generation how to love God most, she is also learning how to love God most herself! Thank you for being a wonderful example of how people in the body of Christ can serve each other. Susan, our church and ministry wouldn’t be the same without you and your sacrificial service to Redemption families each week. We appreciate you!" Susan Timpani, Elementary Director

R/KIDS | 2019 VBS RECAP VIDEO | Here is a glimpse of the joy our R/KIDS had during VBS this year! We had 360 children + 150 volunteers join us for worship, games, crafts, snacks and fun, while focusing on Jesus being our True Treasure. Join us in praying that the seeds sown will be used to make a lifetime impact in all of the childrens' hearts and lives.

REDEMPTION IN ALASKA | CALL TO PRAYER | We have a staff of 39 heading to Tanalian Bible Camp in Bush Alaska today to care for and live the Gospel out loud to 80 kids this week. Please pray for traveling mercies, endurance for our staff, and that the kids would taste and see of God's great love for them.

REDEMPTION YOUTH GILBERT | SC2019 | THE REAL THING | Our Youth spent 5 days in God’s uncontainable presence through the teaching of His Word, proclaiming his praises, and enjoying/encouraging one another in relationship. We are consistently amazed at God’s faithfulness to bless this time to get away, remove distractions and narrow our focus. Continue to pray with us that the Holy Spirit would move supernaturally, transform hearts of stone, and lead His people in awe and wonder. We are grateful for our team of staff and volunteers and want to thank everyone who made SC2019 happen this year!

Every Christmas season during Advent, culminating at our Christmas Eve services, we collect an offering that is above and beyond our regular giving. These funds are distributed to partnerships and initiatives that are Close, Near and Far. This offering supports and funds Foster Care and Adoption initiatives in Arizona (Close), Tanalian Bible Camp in Alaska (Near), as well as Orphan prevention and rehabilitation efforts in Ethiopia (Far).
